I am now in Madrid. This computer is being run through an adapter so it doesn't explode. I have euros in my wallet.
After getting into the airport in Madrid we drove to the dorms we are staying in until the 15th of September by which time we will need to have found an apartment. For some reason I thought we had a month to find living arangements but really it is two weeks. It doesn't matter though because it is REALLY exciting to be looking for an apartment in MADRID.
I am butchering Spanish. I ate dinner with a native tonight and I felt like a total dweeb. I look forward to improving my Spanish and not looking like such a foreigner. It is going to be a while.
Sorry, no pictures. I couldn't handle being that touristy. They are to come though. I will try to have at least one with every post.

ONE suit case
I am trying to pack to go to Spain and it is becoming a huge problem. I get one suit case weighing 50lbs and a carry on weighing 22lbs. Can I fit a years worth of belongings in 72lbs? That actually sounds like a lot, but it's not. I wonder how much all my belongings actually weigh. Frightening thought!
Anyway, I also have been doing some ditch filling because my dad is building a pole barn and I am getting paid to help. Nice.

Good Times
Hannah, Dan, and Alex came to visit Bridget and I about two weeks ago. The only photos I got were of us on a ferry. The GPS was telling us how to get to Devil's Lake State Park and the directions were "turn left and board ferry". we were all like "Say WHAA?" and then there was a ferry and we boarded it. The excitement level was very high.

Goodbye
This month is scary. I am and will be making lot's of goodbyes before I leave the country for a year. I am saying goodbye to family, I am saying goodbye to friends, I am saying goodbye to Madison and goodbye to home. I am also saying goodbye to my grandfather who passed away on Friday.
If you see me, you should say bye, but don't be too mushy. Goodbyes are so emotional, even the ones that aren't final.
Life can feel so peculiar at times. I don't know what to call what I'm feeling, but that's ok.

Adios Oshkosh
So AirVenture is over, and I am back in Madison. It feels good to be in Madison.
Notes on the end of Oshkosh.
I had some very rude customers that were jerks. The balloons didn't launch, they just inflated. I went to Devil's Lake with PresHouse and it was Beautiful! I had lots of fun, and it was nice to get out of Oshkosh before my last day. Haley came back with me for the night air-show. That squiggly light is an airplane with fireworks coming off the wing tips. Nice.
